Franklin Alvarez, JD
Franklin Alveres joined NGIN in April of 2024 and serves as Advisor, Inclusive Economic Development.
Franklin brings over a decade of expertise in business strategy, community economic development, policy, and law. Prior to his role at NGIN, Franklin served as Assistant Vice President of Business Development and Entrepreneurship at Invest Newark, where he managed a comprehensive portfolio of economic development initiatives with significant impact. During his tenure as an Innovation & Intellectual Property Law Fellow at The City University of New York School of Law's Community Economic Development Clinic, he provided research and legal counsel that contributed to several pioneering projects, including the Vital Brooklyn initiative in New York State.
Franklin earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, focusing on Innovation, Technology, and Intellectual Property Law. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Delaware State University, specializing in Public Relations & Advertising.
