Our insights identify (1) racialized definitions of risk continue to hold back capital (2) the 2020 corporate financial commitments can mostly be viewed as market corrections rather than catalytic (3) evidence of catalytic capital investments which advance BIPOC wealth and can be scaled.
Inclusive Capital in Small and Midsize Cities
Through generous funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, NGIN undertook a practitioner-led exploration to identify what is holding back investments that advance inclusive growth in small and midsize cities. This report recommends approaches to overcome these capital barriers.
